2023 12/29 – Orville Henry Heseman

Orville Henry Heseman, 94 of Hoyleton, passed away at 3:35 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Freeburg Care Center.

He was born on July 28, 1929, in Hoyleton, the son of Richard and Ella Tepe Heseman. He married Vera Rommelman on August 21, 1949, in Ferrin and she passed away on May 10, 2002. Also preceding him in death were his parents and a brother Reimond.

Left to mourn his passing are 3 sons; Calvin (Donna) Heseman of Jacksonville, FL. Dean (Janet) Heseman of Spring Hill, FL, and Keith (Candace) Heseman of Hoyleton. 4 daughters; Marla (Larry) Hasheider of Okawville, Marsha (Kit) Milano of Sandoval, Melanie (Hank) Borrenpohl of Okawville and Michelle (Derek) Payton of Knoxville, TN. A sister of Lucille Knolhoff of Centralia, 18 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.

Orville was a lifelong farmer in the Hoyleton area. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton where he held various offices and previously sang in the Men’s Choir. He was a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau and a founding member of the Hoyleton Rural Water Company. Orville loved raising horses, traveling, and especially taking and guiding trips to Germany. He always made time for fun with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton with Rev. Nathan Wollenberg officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoyleton Handchime Fund or the Okawville Senior Center.
