Fredia Bell Simmons, age 75, of Farina, Illinois passed away at 8:14 p.m. Sunday, December 24, 2023 at her home, surrounded by family.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Keen’s Chapel Cemetery in LaClede. Brenda Byers will be officiating. Memorials may go to the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.pagelfuneralhome.com
Fredia was born on July 16, 1948, in Effingham County, Illinois, the daughter of Oscar and Mary (Lance) Depoister. She married Glen P. Simmons on August 26, 1965. She enjoyed camping, sitting on the front porch, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Paul Simmons (wife Stacey) and Earnie Simmons (wife Katie); daughter, Paula Adams (husband Matt); brother, Ernie Depoister (wife Kathy); sister, Barb Hassebrock (husband Bill); 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Mary Depoister; husband, Glen Simmons; brothers in infancy, Oscar Alvie Depoister and Alvie Oscar Depoister; and sisters, Patty Sapp and Loretta Lynn Depoister.
