A Centralia home was destroyed in a late Wednesday night fire.
City Firefighters say the occupants of the home at 618 North Beech, Lora Mitchell and an adult child, were out before the department arrived and found the entire front of the home on fire.
Mitchell told firemen she walked out of her bedroom around 11:45 Wednesday night and saw flames in the kitchen and living room. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
Firemen say the fire spread into the attic and through the roof. The rear of the home sustained heavy smoke, heat, and water damage.
All available Centralia City Firefighters were called in to help fight the fire. The Centralia Fire Protection District was called for mutual aid on the scene. Sandoval Firemen stood by at the Centralia Fire Station in the event of another fire.
Firemen were on the scene for about four hours.
