Linda K Young, 72, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 9:25 pm on December 6, 2023, at White Oak Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Mount Vernon.
She was born December 21, 1950, in Mount Vernon to the late Cottrell and Edna (Eggleston) Richardson.
Linda is survived by her son, Michael Young and fiancee, Brittney Noward of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Michael Young, Jr., Austin Young, Brynlee Keen, and Bryton Noward, all of Mount Vernon; brothers, Michael Rush of Springfield, Illinois and Cottrell Richardson, Jr. of Mount Vernon; sister, Marion Hart of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. Linda attended Blackwell Temple in Mount Vernon. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. Inurnment will take place at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois at a later date. Memorials may be made in Linda’s honor to the Young Family, in the care of Michael Young.
