A 31-year-old Centralia man has been arrested for meth delivery following a single vehicle wreck on Old US 51 and Range Road on Tuesday morning.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports Lonnie Williamson of North Poplar Street was the driver of the car that rolled over on its side into a creek.   The Sandoval Fire Department was called to help him and a passenger, 26-year-old Amber Tolliver of South Franklin in Salem, out of the car.

Deputies believe before they arrived, Williamson gave his backpack to Tolliver.    When she was taken into custody on a Clinton County misdemeanor warrant, deputies searched the backpack.   It reportedly contained information that Williamson was the owner.   Deputies allegedly found eight grams of fentanyl beans and 26 grams of methamphetamine in the backpack leading to the meth deliver arrest.

Williamson, who is a participant in Marion County Drug Court, is also expected to receive repercussions there following the incident.

Tolliver was later transferred to the Clinton County Jail at Carlyle on the warrant that had bond set at $5,000.
