The Salem Fire Protection District was called out twice to the Taco Bell Restaurant on West Main Street this weekend.
The first call was Saturday afternoon when employees smelled an electrical odor. Firemen checked the building without finding anything except a breaker in the fuse box that was warm. It was turned off as a precaution.
When Taco Bell employees arrived to open on Sunday, they once again smelled something hot and asked the fire department to investigate.
Firemen went through the building and even checked the rooftop cooling system without finding any problems.
Employees were instructed to contact their maintenance department on Monday to look further into the issue.
