After several years of serving as President of SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Jeremy Bradford will be leaving the organization to fulfill a leadership position as President and CEO of CalvertHealth in Prince Frederick, Maryland.

Bradford’s last day will be Friday, December 23, 2022. Michael Baumgartner, current SSM Health Illinois Regional President will assume the role of President of Good Samaritan Hospital.

Baumgartner says Bradford has been a true partner and asset to the SSM Health and the communities we serve throughout Southern Illinois.  He says they wish him and his family the very best in this next phase of his journey.

Bradford began his career with SSM Health as Region Vice President of Operations and transitioned into his role as President in early 2019. During Bradford’s tenure with SSM Health, he has led many successful operational and growth initiatives, including the opening of the Weight Management and Metabolic Center, the renovation of the Oza Cancer Center, the addition of the Hybrid OR-12, the addition of the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and the development of the Kaushal Pediatric Clinical Decision Unit. In addition, he has also represented Good Samaritan Hospital by serving on several Boards.  Bradford also led his team and the hospital through several accreditation surveys, site visits, and operational transitions while navigating the COVID-19 Pandemic.
