Salem man pleads guilty to unlawful video recording

A 45-year-old Salem man has pleaded guilty to unlawful video recording in exchange for a child pornography charge being dropped.

David Tindall admitted to making a recording of another person in a residence exiting a shower unclothed without consent.  The child pornography charge that was dropped added the person was under 18.

Tindall was placed on 30 months probation and ordered to undergo drug, alcohol, and mental health evaluation and treatment.  He was also ordered not have contact with anyone under 18, have no minors at his residence, be in no residence when minors are present, and have no contact with the victim.   Tindall will also have to pay a $750 probation fee.

The incident occurred on June 10th, 2021 at his residence.
