A 35-year-old Salem man has been sentenced to five years in prison after being removed from the Marion County Drug Court Program.

Judge Mark Stedelin on Thursday sentenced Damon DeBoer of South Jefferson Street to multiple prison terms with all time to be served concurrently.    He had pleaded guilty to all of them earlier to get into drug court.

DeBoer received a five year prison term for burglary and another five year term making a false bomb threat to his former employer Schutt Sports.  A two year term was handed down for theft and another two years on a petition to revoke his probation on a possession of meth charge.

DeBoer over the past few years had been arrested by Salem Police on multiple burglary and theft charges mostly involving Salem businesses.

Once he gets out of prison, DeBoer was ordered to serve one year parole.

The judge gave DeBoer a furlough with GPS monitoring until Monday when he is scheduled to report to the Marion County Jail to begin serving his prison time.
