Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested 57-year-old Hope Yates of Salem Road in Mt. Vernon following a traffic stop for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on an outstanding Marion County felony failure to appear warrant. Bond on the warrant is set at $20,000.
Salem Police arrested 32-year-old Sarah Niebert of Salem Mobile Home Park for being an intoxicated pedestrian in the road, resisting or obstructing justice, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police report Niebert reportedly would not stay out of the roadway, with incidents on West Main and I-57 before she was arrested at Church and South Broadway.
30-year-old Lamar Bennett of East Cormick in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police for alleged domestic battery.
33-year-old Jedidiah Cody of South Broadway in Salem turned himself in on a Marion County felony failure to appear warrant with bond set at $10,000.
25-year-old Jacob White of Devonia Drive in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on a theft charge made a felony due to a past conviction.
Patoka Police are investigating a vehicle burglary in the 700 block of West Bond Street. Several items were reportedly stolen from the center console, including a pair of sunglasses. A neighbor reportedly saw the burglary occur and attempted to chase those involved who fled on a motorized bike but was unable to do so.
Iuka Police are investigating two vehicle burglaries. One occurred on the 500 block of Thomas Street where change was stolen. The other was on the 700 block of Boyd Street where two new trail cams were stolen.
