A 23-year-old Junction City man has been sentenced to a total of six years in prison when pleading guilty in Marion County Court to a petition to revoke his probation on a residential burglary conviction and on a new charge of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
Brandon Bierman of Van Buren Street was sentenced to four years in the burglary case with an additional two years to be served consecutively on the weapons charge. He’ll also have to complete a year of parole when getting out of prison.
Bierman had his probation revoked for failing to report as required. He later was arrested on the weapons charge which required a minimum two-year prison term.
As part of the plea, Bierman had the second felon in possession of a weapon charge, aggravated assault, battery, and criminal damage to property dropped in a third case dropped. His probation was also revoked in a misdemeanor domestic battery conviction, but fines and costs were reassessed.
