An 18-year-old Salem man has been charged with aggravated battery to the Centralia High School Resource Officer and a security guard following an incident at the Centralia High Annex on Monday where he was attending class.
Jonathan Davis of Church Street is accused of punching the SRO in the face with his fist and kicking a school security officer. Neither sustained injury.
Davis was allowed to be released on his personal recognizance bond, but only if released to DCFS or Hoyleton Children’s Home. The Public Defender was appointed to represent him. A preliminary hearing is set for November 17th.
