Salem Police have arrested a 53-year-old Centralia woman for felony retail theft. Police say Cindy Britt of South Wabash allegedly left the store with a cart with items valued at $1,194 on October 4th. After looking for Britt in Centralia on Monday, she reportedly came to the Salem Police Station on her own and was taken into custody.
Centralia Police arrested 36-year-old Chaise Deadmond of South Sycamore in Centralia on an outstanding Marion County warrant with bond set at $10,000.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports a construction trailer stolen from the 2900 block of Lazy Acres Road in Salem early Monday morning was recovered around noon at Richardson and Levy Road near Lake Centralia. Two security cameras were also reportedly taken from the Lazy Acres Road location that has not been located. The investigation is continuing.
