Downtown Sandoval was alive with vendors, the Sandoval School Band, information on village services, and a book sale at the soon-to-open library as part of its first-ever Street Fair on Saturday.

Village Administrator LeAnn Speiser was pleased with the turnout.

“Homecoming activities changed this year.  They were always held in February and this is the first time ever being in October.  It was great weather.  The Village wanted to contribute and coordinate with the school to have activities for the entire community to enjoy.  Things to do if you were in town visiting.  And we would like to make this an annual event.”

There was even a pet costume contest won by Shalea Bates with a Jurassic Park theme.

The enhanced activities began on Friday where a chili supper was held at Sandoval Junior/Senior High School following the children’s Halloween Parade.   Activities concluded on Friday with a bonfire at the rear of the school.

The homecoming dance took place on Saturday night.
