The 1st/2nd graders hosted Albers for their last league game on Saturday. The came out with a 4-0 victory to finish their league season 5-3. Jonah Findley and Gavin Purcell scored two goals each. Hadley Michel had a great assist. Ethan Petrillo, Katelyn Hilmes, Titan Wangler and Findley played well in net. On Sunday, they traveled to New Baden Booster Tournament. They went 1-1 on the day, with Alexis Hensler scoring a goal.
The 3rd/4th girls hosted Breese Saturday morning. They won 3-0. They also attended the New Baden Booster tournament winning one game and drawing the second. The earned a spot in the championship game where they lost 2-1. Goals were scored by Stevie Nix, Laney Kuhns and Brooklyn Hosie. Addyson Nix had a great day in net.
The 5th/6th boys traveled to Breese. They had a hard-fought game but came up short, 2-0. They traveled to New Baden playing in three games. Gabe Thomason scored two goals on Sunday.
The 5th/6th grade girls traveled to O’Fallon Saturday. They came out on top 5-0. Addyson Pracht and Alyx Pearce each scored twice and Braylen Holzhausen added one. They split two games in New Baden Tournament on Sunday.
The 7th/8th graders traveled to Centralia on Saturday. They dropped their game 8-3. Despite the score, Isaiah Findley played well in goal. Salem had no answer for Christian Alonso who scored six of Centralia’s goals. John Hahs, Addison Lever and Nicklaus Kahtz scored for Salem.
