The Marion County Health Department is reporting no additional COVID-19-related deaths in the week ending on Thursday.  The number of deaths since the pandemic began remains at 219.

Six congregate care facilities remain on outbreak status.  One has 23 cases, another 12, a third nine cases, two more had two cases, and the final facility has three positives.

Jefferson, Wayne, and Fayette Counties have bumped back up into the medium transmission level while Marion, Clinton, Washington, and Clay Counties remain at the low transmission level.

The CDC Tracker reports 14 new or suspected COVID-19 cases in the week ending on Thursday.  That’s a 22-percent decline from the prior week.  There were three new hospitalizations.

Jefferson County had 36 new cases, a 71-percent increase, and six new hospitalizations.

Clinton County had 19 new cases, a five percent drop, and two new hospitalizations.

Washington County had under 10 new cases, a drop of 13 percent, and one new hospitalization.

Fayette County had a 45-percent increase to 16 new cases and two new hospitalizations.

Clay County had ten new cases, a 29-percent drop, and one new hospitalization.

Wayne County had less than ten new cases, but three new hospitalizations.

Statewide, there are now 16 counties at the medium transmission level and three counties have returned to the high community level.  There were 11,955 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including 43 deaths since October 14th.

As of Thursday night, 1,060 individuals in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19.  Of those, 124 patients were in the ICU and 51 were on ventilators.
