Its been a few years in planning, but the Sandoval Community School District 501 has moved their Homecoming
festivities from February to October. So, for the 1st time we will have 2 sets of Royalty in the year of 2022.
Several committee members and administrators were involved in the decision and after weighing all the options and
talking with the community, school faculty and students and discussing major issues such as
weather, gym time, winter months with increased sickness….It seemed in everyone’s best interest to move the event.
So this weekend the Sandoval Community is booming with activities and they would like to invite the public to attend.

Alumni tours will be happening if anyone is interested in seeing improvements or just reminiscing through the old halls just one more time.

Saturday October 22nd, the Sandoval Village Board has jumped on to do their part by providing a Homecoming Street Fair.
Village Administrator, Leann Speiser said there is still time to enter as a vendor.  You may call city hall or 618-322-8460.
Registration fee is 20$ and the event goes from 9am-2pm.  Right now the city has 17 vendors coming.  Board Members
Courtney Reams and Heather Day say that this new event will really add a nice touch to the town for those coming home
for homecoming.
SHS Alumni Pam Rhodes Snyder, a graduate of 1978 will be having her “Baked with Love” tent open and available and states
I’m very excited about participating in the Homecoming street Fair and I am hoping to see lots of friends and class mates.
I think this is so great for the community.  Pam married her HS Sweetheart Dwight Snyder (class of 76) and it all started in front
of locker 112 in those SHS halls 40 plus years ago.  Pam is a retired nurse and now bakes, follows the STL cardinals and
enjoys her grandkids while Dwight is still running the family farm.
