A 26-year-old Mt. Vernon man has been found guilty in Jefferson County Court of 19 of 20 Class X felony possession of child pornography charges pending against him.
Zachary Terry had earlier gone before Judge Jerry Crisel for a two-day bench trial late last month. The Judge had taken the matter under advisement until the ruling on Thursday. All the child pornography reportedly depicted children under the age of 13.
A sentencing hearing was set for December 15.
Terry faces between114 and 570 years in prison.
Terry was taken into custody in May after a domestic battery case led to an investigation that resulted in child pornography charges. He had earlier waived a jury trial.
Jefferson County State’s Attorney Sean Featherstun prosecuted the case. Public Defender Matt Vaughn handled the defense.
