A 29-year-old Salem woman indicted by a Marion County Grand Jury for first-degree murder has been released from the Marion County Jail on $25,000 cash bond.
Christina Bartley’s bond had been reduced from the original $ 1 million on the warrant issued after the indictment to $250,000 during a bond reduction hearing last week.
Bartley is charged in connection with the April 2021 shooting death of her boyfriend Wesley Bivens at the home they shared on Miles Lane southwest of Salem.
Bartley has maintained she was acting in self-defense.
As part of the release on bond, she is not allowed to have any contact with Bivens’ family.
Bartley is currently scheduled for Jury Trial in January, with a pre-trial appearance scheduled for November 16th.
