A different approach today for the CORLHS Silver Stallions XC teams at The Pinckneyville Invitational at Lake Sallateeska.
For The Boys #1 runner Elijah Gegory was out due to sickness, so we decided to run 4 boys in the JV race. Unfortunately due to the course not being marked well the top 7-10 runners in the race ran an extra loop amounting to at least an extra 0.5mi in the race.
]Nonetheless Isaiah Lyons was still able to overcome the extra distance and won the JV race. His brother Liagel Lyons was lead the correct direction and finished 12th for the Stallions. Both received a T-shirt for finishing in the Top 15. Unfortunately due to the extra distance Tommy Taylor and Christian Nollman who were running in 3rd and 4th place at the Mile mark finished 16th and 20th in the JV race.
In the Boys Varsity race both Yilian Lu and Zerek Koch both brought home Tshirts finishing 14th and 16th (Top 25) received shirts.
For The Lady Stallions Sarah Mckowen ran strong finishing 3rd and teammate Rylee Brammier was 9th. Both received T-shirts! Abagail Meyer finished 31st and Alexis Livesay was 50th.
