The Salem Wildcats soccer team will start their final regular season week with a trip to Wood River. Salem freshman Eli Baker is sitting on 23 goals, one shy of the SCHS single season scoring record set last year by Eli Davis of 24. After today, Salem will host Newton for Senior Day on Thursday before opening up the Post Season hosting regionals on Saturday against Wesclin with the winner to advance to next week’s Freeburg Semifinals where they will get top seed Columbia.
Yesterday, Wesclin shutout Carlyle 8-0, Hillsboro beat Mater Dei 2-0.
