A 21-year-old Centralia man charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault and aggravated domestic battery following an incident in Centralia last Friday has similar charges pending in Washington County Court at Nashville.
Court records show Isaak Clark was charged in October of last year in Washington County with a Class X offense of aggravated criminal sexual assault with bodily harm, criminal sexual assault by force, and aggravated domestic battery via strangulation. He was released in November of last year on bond that had been set at $80,000 or $8,000 cash. Clark is currently scheduled for a jury trial in Washington County on January 23rd of next year.
Bond for Clark was set at $200,000 on the new Marion County charges filed Monday. In the sexual assault charge, he is accused of committing a sex act by use of force while strangling the alleged victim with a belt. In the domestic battery count, he is accused of pulling the belt tight to apply pressure to her throat and neck.
Centralia Police say the incident occurred in an apartment on Fairway Drive last Friday. Police first learned of the event when SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital called to report they were treating the alleged victim.
