In prep baseball on Saturday, North Clay won a pair of games at SIU-Carbondale.
They opened with a 13-1 win over Cobden. Jesse Weidner doubled going 2-3 with 2 runs scored, Daniel Warren tripled as he drove in 2 runs with 2 RBI also from Alex Boose, Ayden Jones and another RBI from Ian Jones. Carder Walden had 2 hits in the win. Jack Compton was the winning pitcher allowing 3 hits and 1 run in 4 innings.
NC then beat Agape Christian 12-0. Compton homered going 2-3 with 3 RBI, Ian Jones drove in 2 with RBI also from Logan Fleener, Boose, Ayden Jones, Weidner and Warren. Ian Jones and Keegan Sullens combined for the 5 innings of work on the mound.
