Approximately 1,200 from 36 schools attended the 8th Grade Career Conference at Kaskaskia College on Friday.

There were 64 presenters who volunteered their time to discuss a variety of occupations and professions with the students.  The students were able to attend five pre-selected sessions.

The program is put together by the Career and Technical Education System of Marion, Clinton, and Washington Counties and Kaskaskia College with support from the Bond, Fayette, and Effingham Counties Education and Employment System.

The Career and Technical Education system’s high school career day will be held on Friday morning, November 4th, at Kaskaskia College.
