The Salem Lady Wildcats will play in their Sectional Golf Tournament as the team qualified last week out of regionals. The Salem Country Club is the site for the girl’s regionals. They will welcome teams of Massac County, Goreville, Zeigler, Waterloo, Columbia, Breese Central, Mt Carmel, Hamilton County, Marquette, Highland and Father McGivney.
Individually competing today will be Kristen Gerdes and Aubrie Smith of Mater Dei, Carlyle’s Abby Steinkamp, Centralia’s Chananya Domethong.
A trio of Wildcat golfers will be playing at Waterloo today in the Class 2a Boys Sectional. Logan Lockhart, Jairen Stroud and Cale Harris will represent Salem. Also competing individually will be Mt Vernon’s Riley Tompkins along with Central’s Konnor Kueper and Marshall Wolfe of Centralia.
Teams competing today will be Mattoon, Charleston, Olney, Benton, Carterville, Massac County, Althoff, Waterloo, Mater Dei, Chatham, Highland and Triad.
Christ Our Rock junior Parker Boehne will compete as an individual today at the Effingham St Anthony Sectional.
