The husband of a former Effingham daycare operator has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after earlier being convicted by an Effingham County Jury of eight counts of predatory sexual assault.
Martin Hubbard was charged with two counts apiece for sexually assaulting four boys who were under five years old. Each count carried a maximum sentence of 60 years in prison with a mandatory life term required because there was more than one victim..
Some of the parents of the victims explained the ongoing traumatic impact Hubbard’s actions had on their children.
The incidents allegedly occurred at Mother Hubbard’s Daycare and Preschool owned by his wife Maria Hubbard.
