By WJBD Staff Sep 9, 2022 | 8:40 AM

The 33rd Annual Salem Super Cruise car show is set for Saturday behind the Salem Super Eight Motel off North Hotze Road.

Organizer Ken Carpenter is hopeful of having more than 100 vehicles this year if the weather cooperates.

Registration for the event is from nine am to one pm.  There is a $15 entry fee for the first vehicle registered by each participant.  Each additional vehicle will have a $10 entry fee.

In addition to the car, truck, and motorcycles on display, more than a dozen craft vendors along with a few food vendors will be on hand.  A DJ will be playing oldies tunes throughout the event.   Pony rides will also be available.

The show concludes with a cruise through Salem at three pm with the cruise line up on Hotze and West Boone and then cruising east on Boone to Broadway, south on Broadway through downtown to the fairgrounds and Antique Power Days, and then back north on Broadway and West Main to the Super Eight and the awards ceremony.  A large number of trophies and special awards will be presented.
