A 46-year-old Centralia man has been sentenced to six years in prison for possession of 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine.

Christopher Taulbee had pleaded guilty to the charge in May in exchange for a Class X charge of meth delivery of 15 to 100 grams being dropped.

Taulbee had been charged with both offenses in February after Centralia Police found 34 grams of meth in his possession following a traffic stop.  Police say there was a large chunk of meth along with baggies with smaller amounts.

Taulbee will have to complete one year of parole when he gets out of prison.  He’ll also get day-for-day good time for time already served and be recommended for substance abuse treatment while in prison.

Taulbee also pleaded guilty in Marion County Court Tuesday to possession of meth in an August 3rd incident.   He’ll be sentenced on that charge on October 25th.
