A 15-year-old Centralia Juvenile boy received severe injuries to his face, head, and lower extremities when allegedly beaten by a large group of individuals from a local gang known as CBN. Centralia Police have arrested six in connection with the attack.
After the attack occurred near the intersection of Kell and McKee Streets late Monday afternoon, the juvenile was brought by his grandparents to the Centralia Police Department. The Centralia Police Department immediately dispatched Fire and EMS to the lobby of the police department.
A written statement was obtained from the victim and the report was completed before he was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital where he was later treated and released. The alleged victim was able to tell police the names of those involved and some were rounded up when arriving at Centralia Junior High and Centralia High School Tuesday morning to prevent any other actions of violence.
One of the six was an adult. 18-year-old Keion Dalton of Centralia is being held in the Marion County Jail for aggravated battery and mob action. The five others were juvenile males, two 14-year-olds and one 13, 15, and 17-year-old. They were also arrested for aggravated battery and mob action and were transferred to the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center pending a first court appearance on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at 5:17 Monday night.
