The cardboard boat races returned to the Sunday lineup at Balloon Fest ’22.
After using their craftsmanship to build their boat, they then took to the water.
Julia Cushman had the last boat floating.
“I’m so happy for my dad, he helped me build my boat. And my mom helped me put my boat in the water. And I just got to say that I wouldn’t of done this if it wasn’t for my family. They cheered me on and I knew that this was gonna be my chance.”
The second-place winner was Brooke Sanders. Third place went to Jaxon Cushman. The best sinking award went to Laura Stover and Lifeguard Kudin Dierkes.
