The opening week for the Salem Youth Football League is in the books with the Jr Wildcats earning 3 wins on Saturday at home. The Varsity utilized a running clock in the 2nd half as they dominated Red Hill 32-0. Trey Clark had 3 touchdown runs, 2 of which were over 50 yards, Marquis Ettress had multiple 2-point conversion runs and Madden Thompson returned a punt for a touchdown.
The JV got a pair of touchdown runs from Emmit Gibson in their 14-0 victory. The 3rd/4th grade White defeated Green 14-6 to open up the day.
The Jr Wildcats will be back in action at home against Mt Carmel.
