A recent graduate of North Clay High School is in his second year of traveling the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Circuit with the Scheid Diesel Super Stock Diesel Truck.
Brady Ingram was among the drivers participating in the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling Circuit visit to the Marion County Fairgrounds this weekend.
He took over the wheel when he turned 16, but he’s been around the sport since he’s been in diapers.
“Mom and dad have been doing it since I was a baby. My grandma and grandpa were doing it before them so it’s always been a family deal. Now, as soon as I get out of it and my brother gets old enough he’s going to take the wheel. So it’s just been a family tradition.”
Ingram says they are always trying to find a sweep spot to get a pull off to a good start.
“Luck. A lot of luck and time behind the scenes that my dad and all the guys back at the shop put all the work into. The family get’s the truck ready and I watch the track. It takes a bit of luck but I have a great team in the back.”
Ingram says it was nice to be able to pull in front of family and friends. The pulling tour has taken him to Ohio, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Texas among other states.
Ingram was also a member of the North Clay State Championship Baseball Team last spring. He says there haven’t been many conflicts between the baseball and pulling seasons.
Ingram finished sixth in the pull at the Marion County Fair on Saturday night.
