The season came to an end for the 11u Salem Little League All Stars as they fell to Elmhurst at the State Tournament in Champaign 14-7.
Jared Crompton and Owen Tennyson each doubled for the Cats who scored 6 runs in their final at bat before their comeback was stopped.
Crompton drove in 3, Tennyson finished 3-4 and drove in 2 runs. Rhett Starnes added an RBI. Bentley Bryan singled and scored, Kai Graham added a hit, Zane Applegate singled twice and scored a pair of runs and Trygg Aaron also scored.
Congratulations to Coach Joby Bryan, the rest of his staff and the players for a great post season. Not a lot of rest for some of the Wildcats as the Franklin Park Baseball season will open up next Thursday at Woodlawn.
