WILLIAMSON COUNTY – The City of Marion and Rent One Park will once again be home to a new baseball team at the beginning of next year’s season.
During the opening ceremonies of Friday night’s Colt World Series at Rent One Park, General Manager Dave Kost made the announcement.
“Next summer, Marion will be home to a brand-new baseball team in a collegiate, wooden bat baseball league. This is top flight baseball. Players come from colleges across the country to play. The players use wooden bats because Major League Baseball scouts want to see how the college stars do with the same bats the pros use,” he said.

The official name for the new team is expected to be unveiled in the early Fall.
