Salem Elk’s fundraiser brings in $2,000 for medical expenses

A large turnout for a chicken dinner at the Salem Elk's last Sunday has resulted in a $2,000 check being presented to help Keith Meigs with medical expenses.

A chicken dinner fundraiser put together by the Southern Illinois All-star fishing team at the Salem Elks Lodge last Sunday raised $2,000 for medical expenses for one of their members Keith Meigs.

The turnout exceeded expectations.
