The Senior Legion State Baseball Tournament opened up yesterday in games played at Breese Central High School after being moved from The Hill in Aviston due to rain. In the opener, Moline shutout Alton 7-0, Danville knocked off Barrington 3-2 and Aviston earned an 8-1 win over Wheaton.
The tournament continues today beginning with an elimination game at 2:30 between Barrington and Wheaton. Then a pair of winners bracket games with Moline and Danville at 5pm and Aviston takes on Alton at 8.
