A 45-year-old Buffalo Grove, Illinois man was injured when his car went out of control while traveling southbound on Interstate 57 near the Farina exit in Fayette County.
State Police say preliminary investigative details indicate John Warren lost control, went off the roadway to the right, struck a concrete culvert, and went airborne. The front end of Warren’s vehicle struck the ditch embankment causing the vehicle to overturn. The vehicle came to a rest right side up.
Warren was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was ticketed for improper lane usage and driving on a suspended license.
A passenger in the car, 28-year-old Michael Boal, of Tucker, Georgia, refused medical treatment.
The crash occurred at 10:20 Friday morning.
