Salem Police say all five people involved in a two car crash in front of the Salem Walmart store late Wednesday morning were checked by ambulance personnel but declined hospital treatment.

Police say the crash occurred when 41-year-old Lindsay Boeckman of Aviston turned east onto West Main after pulling from the stop sign at Walton Drive. Her view of oncoming eastbound traffic was blocked by a vehicle in the lane entering the Walmart store and she told police she didn’t see the car driven by 18-year-old Lexi Draper of Deerwood Park in Centralia.

Both drivers and three children in the Boeckman car, ages 6, 10, and 12, were all checked by United Medical Response personnel and signed refusals for treatment.

Boeckman was ticketed for failure to yield at a stop intersection.

The crash was reported at 11:29 Wednesday morning.
