A large camping trailer pulled behind a vehicle caught fire when traveling on Selmaville Road just south of US 50 late Saturday morning.

Salem Fire Protection District Officials say a problem with a refrigeration unit started a fire that was fueled by propane used in the trailer.  Heavy smoke damage was reported throughout the camper and heavy fire damage to the rear of the camper.

The camper was being driven by Christy Watson of Salem and was owned by Jared Russell of Salem.

The fire call came in at 10:39 Saturday morning.
