Tonight is the Southern Illinois All-Star Football Game played at Carbondale High School starting at 7pm. This is the 21st year for the game. A selection committee, made up of football coaches from southern Illinois, selected the teams. The state runner up Nashville Hornets will be well represented with 6 players selected to play for the Red Team. They are Isaac Turner, Kade Ridgeway, Connor Gladson, Ben Reid, Evan Knolhoff and Wyatt Kwiatkowski.
The Red Team includes players from Nashville, Carbondale, Carmi, Centralia, Chester, DuQuoin, Eldorado, Flora, Herrin, Johnston City, Murphysboro and West Frankfort. They will take on the Blue Team with players from Anna, Benton, Carterville, CZR, Fairfield, Harrisburg, Marion, Massac County, Mount Vernon, Sparta and Sesser/Valier/Woodlawn.
