Centralia Police arrested two on felony drug charges following a late Wednesday night traffic stop.
Police arrested the driver, 36-year-old Jessica Nicole Smith of North Pine in Centralia, on a no bond federal warrant issued by the US Postal warrant. After an inventory of the vehicle, a baggie of what field-tested as methamphetamine and a needle was recovered leading to new charges of possession of meth and a narcotic instrument.
A passenger in the car, 29-year-old Howard Petrea of West 7th in Centralia. was not charged with any new offenses following the traffic stop but was taken into custody for alleged possession of meth and a controlled substance in connection with an earlier traffic stop.
Both were taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on formal charges.
