In Little League Majors, Americana beat Lions 9-8. Kaden Cripps led Americana driving in 4 runs going 2-3 at the plate. Kemper Johnson added an RBI along with Lance Nix, Owen Tennyson and Drake Rector. Caleb Squibb drove in 2 runs on a double for Lions. Hayden Dasch doubled for his first hit of the season that started the rally that got Lions back in the game.
Minor League beat Salem IGA 4-3. The game was tied at 3 in the bottom of the sixth when Jared Crompton singled on a 2-2 count. Logan Butts went 2-3 at the plate for IGA. For Minor League Jax Schaubert added 3 hits. Benny Bryant got the start for Minor League allowing 1 run on 5 hits over 4.2 while striking out 11.
In softball action, Landers beat Dairy Queen 11-3. In the loss, Gabby Goostree took the loss allowing 6 runs on 10 hits over 2.2 striking out 5. She led the way in hitting with 2 hits and a RBI. Ziva Owens, Alyssa Eagan, Grayce Rose and Alaigha Hughes added hits. In the win, Alicea Patrick had 2 hits and 2 runs while driving in another, Chelsey Haines had 2 hits, Alana Howe a hit and run, Hendrix Bratcher and Rozlyn Bratcher each had a hit and RBI. Haines was the winning pitcher with 6 k’s.
T&K Title beat Marion County Savings Bank 6-4. Katee Sellers, Abby Gore, Aubrey Parker, Ashlynn Jamison, Marissa-Reyes-Tiburcio and Lily Holsapple each scored. Abigail Thompson pitched and struck out 3. In the loss, Teagan Lobek, Kendall Zimmermann, Quinn Wolfe and Emily Jones each scored. Reagan Schuler struck out 8 in the circle.
