Janet Metcalf, 64, passed away at her home in Centralia, with family by her side Memorial Day, May 29, 2023.Born October 23, 1958, in Salem, Illinois, she was the daughter of Max Atteberry and Kathryn Ilene (Sanders) Metcalf.There is no formal public service planned. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s choice and will be received by Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 97, 310 N. Broadway, Salem, IL 62881 (619) 548-1234, entrusted with the family’s care. Online condolences may be left at sutherlandfuneralhome.comA homemaker, her family will remember her for being a loving mother whose family was important to her.Survivors include children, James Keith (Kayla Hutchinson) Garner of North Carolina, Stephanie (John) Wilkins of Centralia, IL Kelly (Kevin) Shoemaker of Kell, IL, and Sarina McCauley of Centralia, IL along with grandchildren, Dakota, Ashlee, Blake, Eradessa, Kelsey and Drayvon and great-grandchildren Harley, Alice, Lili, and Wesley. Also her siblings, Joshua Metcalf of Kell, IL, and Byron (Rosemary) Metcalf of Xenia, IL, Melba Johnston of Kinmundy, IL, Virginia (Lee) Casner of Salem, and Joyce Phillips of Salem, ILIn addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Destin McCauley, siblings, Tom, Gary, Frank, and Aaron Metcalf Nadra Metcalf, and Kathy Wood.
