The Bryan-Bennett Library will host a Walk and morning of information for adults age 50 and older on Saturday.
After finishing the walk, participants can learn more about Power Walking and fitness measures that adults of many levels of conditions may use.
The leisurely stroll on the streets around the library will begin at nine Saturday morning. Participants should gather at the Library flagpole at nine am.
After finishing the walk, participants can return to the Library for snacks and to enjoy a couple of informational programs.
At 9:30 in the Library’s large meeting room, physical therapist assistant Kara Sellers from SSM Health will talk to the group about chair exercises.
At 10 a.m., Tom Champion will describe his experiences with Power Walking.
Librarian Kim Keller says if there seems to be an interest in this type of program, the Library will plan a bigger event for next year.
