2023 05/16 – Juanetta Ruth Middleton

Juanetta Ruth Middleton was born in Iuka, Illinois on August 3rd, 1930. She was 92 years old when she passed at The Willows in Harrodsburg, KY on May 10, 2023.

Ruth was married to Marion T. Middleton for over 53 years residing in Omega and Salem, Illinois. She worked for a number of years in the Marion County Courthouse and retired as a Deputy to the Circuit Clerk of Courts in 1990. She enjoyed painting and cross-stitching, playing Scrabble, reading forensic mysteries, was an avid sports fan (particularly of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Fighting Illini), and loved babies. She and Marion were members of Trinity and Grace United Methodist Churches.

Mrs. Middleton was preceded in death by her husband Marion, parents E. Loyd & Anna Bell Eddings and sister Fay Eddings. She is survived by two daughters, a son and their spouses Susan Pitts and husband David, Mark Middleton and wife Donna, and Patti Walker and husband Ellis. She has five grandchildren, Nicholas Featherly, Elizabeth Carlton, Clifford Walker, Amanda Boeger, and Jeffrey Walker; and three great-granddaughters, Chelsea Featherly, Catalin Boeger, and Elliott Walker.

The visitation and funeral service will be held at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem, Illinois on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Visitation will be held at 11:00 am with the funeral to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Christine Cunningham officiating.  Juanetta Ruth Middleton will be laid to rest in Iuka Cemetery.
