Winny Irene Will, age 81 of Carlyle, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, May 1, 2023.
Mrs. Will was born in Heyworth, Illinois on August 3, 1941, a daughter of Raymond and Edna (Farrow) Dale. She married Donald Will, Sr. on August 12, 1963, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin and he survives in Carlyle.
In addition to her husband Don, Winny is also survived by her daughter – Crystal Gebhart (Patrick) of Carlyle; a daughter-in-law – Gemma Will of Belleville; her grandchildren – Lindsay Will (Devin Burton) of Florida, Gage Will of Tennessee, Mariel Quilaga of Breese, Brock Kleiboeker of Carlyle, and Jordan Kleiboeker of Carlyle; and her great grandchildren – Zyler and Zander Burton.
She was preceded in death by her parents – Raymond and Edna Dale; a son – Donny Will; and her siblings – Raymond Dale, Paul Dale, and Patricia Schoff.
Winny was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She worked for Tombstone Pizza and Pepsi doing food demonstrations at local grocery stores until 1996. She enjoyed talking with customers and was always friendly to anyone she met. She loved Elvis, animals- especially her Yorkshire Terrier Eddy, reading, crosswords, traveling, shopping, lunch dates that ended with ice-cream, and spending time with her family.
Those who knew her well, will remember her by her generosity and thoughtful nature. She was deeply loved by her spouse, children, and grandchildren. She will forever be missed.
A memorial service for Mrs. Will will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Zieren Funeral Home in Carlyle. A visitation will follow at Zieren Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:30 – 7:30 P.M.
