The Centralia Police Department will get four more officers on the street Monday.
The four, Christopher Jansen of Clinton County, Michael Dodson of Salem, and Nolen Beggs and Bret Winegarner of Centralia, all graduated from the Southwestern Illinois Police Academy at Belleville on Friday.
Now that they have completed the 14-week academy, they will now have 12 weeks of field training with other members of the department before working on their own.
The Centralia Police Department plans to start another officer in the academy in May as they continue to work to fill openings.
