Centralia Mayor Bryan Kuder and Acting City Manager Kim Enke are both pleased how a city wide cleanup went on Saturday.
More than 30 adults and young people were sent to various areas of town to pick up litter. Enke says a pickup full of trash bags were collected.
Kuder was pleased with the community reaction.
“To see the citizens come out and say thank you for picking up the trash or people honking, giving the thumbs up and saying thank you…that goes a long way especially with the youth out there helping. So from all of us involved a huge thank you to everyone who came out.”
Volunteers included the Centralia Youth Commission, another group of teens, as well as City Officials and representatives of Centralia Clean and Green.
