Two people were formally charged in Marion County Court Friday in connection with the robbery of a 65-year-old Salem man in Foundation Park on April 1st.
21-year-old Dylan Foutch of East Olive Street in Salem was charged with robbery to a victim over the age of 60 and 30-year-old Stacey Myers of the same address for unlawful possession of a debit or credit card. Bond was set at $100,000 for Foutch and $10,000 for Myers.
State’s Attorney Tim Hudspeth in the probable cause statement indicated Foutch had allegedly taken a debit card by the use of force from the Salem man. Myers is accused of being with Foutch when both attempted to later use the debit card.
Centralia Police say they were able to put the case together with video surveillance obtained from several locations that allowed them to identify Foutch and Myers who also matched the detailed description given by the alleged victim.
The victim told police he was given a ride by a man and woman to the Circle K store where he used the ATM to withdraw money to purchase a pack of cigarettes. He said he had given the two $20 for gas money before they drove to Foundation Park where a revolver was put to his head and the two demanded all his money. The alleged victim said he didn’t think the two were serious until he was hit in the side of the head by the gun. At that point, he said he gave up the $270 and debit card.
