The Salem Lion’s Club 85th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will return to the normal format at Bryan Memorial Park this year.

Lion Leon Chapman is once again chairing the event.

“Once again we are excited to announce it will be in the park as it has been for most of the past 85 years.  At 2pm on Easter Sunday, don’t arrive at the park before 1:30 because the Bunny will be busy hiding the eggs.”

Chapman says there will be three age groups, 2 to 4, 5 to 7, and 8 to 10.

There will be 10 prize eggs in each division and those finding the prize eggs will come to the stage to have numbers drawn to determine their prize, with the first number drawn winning a bicycle or tricycle. In the little kids division there will also be 40 small stuffed toys that will be given away.

There will be 3,000 eggs hidden in the three hunt areas that have been stuffed with candy by the residents of Manor at Salem Woods.

Last year due to COVID-19, kids in cars with their parents drove through the park to receive a package of eggs. The prior year, they were distributed by the Hungry Hearts summer food program.
